Education
I have been providing exceptional care to patients for over 30 years. My expertise extends to treating adults with various orthopedic, and women’s health-related issues. In 1985, I earned my BSPT from Boston University, and since then, I have been dedicated to advancing my skills and knowledge to offer the best possible care to my clients.

From Lewis Physical Therapy Patients
Insurance – Billing
Effective November 1, 2023, Lewis Physical Therapy will become an Out-of-Network provider for all commercial insurances plans. Additionally, we will no longer work with patients who use Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans. This change is driven by our commitment to ensuring that our patients receive the best individualized care possible, which our current ‘in-network’ insurance business model does not fully allow.
Considering co-pays and deductibles, the expense of receiving treatment with Lewis Physical Therapy is nearly comparable to what you would pay at an in-network provider. Alongside Lewis Physical Therapy’s treatment approach, emphasizing experienced patient-centered care and active patient involvement, our patients experience reduced appointments and quicker healing at an affordable price.
Transition Plan for Current Patients
For our current patients utilizing health insurance, including HMO and PPO plans, as well as Medicare patients, we want to give you sufficient time to complete your plan of care before November 1, 2023.
A New Approach to Care
At Lewis Physical Therapy, we prioritize building a strong partnership with our patients. Instead of relying on insurance companies, we choose to have a contract with you directly. This enables us to provide focused one-on-one care during fewer, longer appointments. We believe this approach allows us to better understand and address your individual needs.
Enhanced Quality of Care
Unlike many in-network providers in typical physical therapy settings, we dedicate 53 minutes of uninterrupted one-on-one care with Elizabeth. This extended session time enables us to fully assess your condition and develop an effective treatment plan. In contrast, traditional in-network providers often see patients for only 15-30 minutes, using care extenders and double booking. This approach can prolong the recovery process and potentially lead to higher healthcare costs in the long run.
Elimination of Administrative Hurdles
As an out-of-network provider, we are not restricted by treatment visits, therapy caps, or prior authorizations. We prioritize quality care over administrative burdens, ensuring that our focus is solely on your well-being.
Billing Process and Insurance Reimbursement
At Lewis Physical Therapy, we do not directly bill your insurance company. Payment is due at the time of service. However, many insurance companies do reimburse for out-of-network physical therapy treatments. You will receive a “Super Bill” at regular intervals, which details the services provided and the associated medical codes. You can submit this “Super Bill” to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Flexible Payment Options
Physical Therapy services at Lewis Physical Therapy qualify for both Health Care Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). We understand the financial aspect of healthcare can be stressful, and we strive to provide flexible payment options for your convenience.
Cost-Saving and Efficient Treatment
Our patient-focused, value-based treatment approach allows you to save money without worrying about copays, coinsurance, deductibles, or the time spent attending physical therapy multiple times a week for several months. With our personalized, private treatment model, you can experience faster healing and a smoother recovery process that minimizes disruption to your daily life.
At Lewis Physical Therapy, we are committed to delivering superior care and prioritizing your individual needs. We believe that our new approach will allow us to continue providing exceptional service to our patients.
